Eco Schools
The Eco-Schools programme is an international award that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of the school. Eco-Schools allows schools to work towards three awards – Bronze, Silver and the Green Flag.
The children are the driving force behind Eco-Schools – they will lead the eco-committee and help carry out an audit to assess the environmental performance of the school. As part of the programme our school can create action plans to tackle nine different topics, which includes:
- water
- biodiversity
- energy
- global perspective
- healthy living
- litter
- schools grounds
- transport
- waste.
